f you are looking for a home based business or any other way to make money working at home, then you have probably been overwhelmed with the information available online. You can't search for "work at home" on the internet without being bombarded by a million and one ads - all of which claim to be the BEST work at home opportunity.
So how do you know which one really is the best? Well, there are a lot of factors, but I've tried my best to highlight some of the items to consider before jumping into a new business venture.
My first recommendation is to answer the following questions as honestly as you can:
*How much time are you willing to invest in a job/business?
*Do you want to work 100% from home or would you be able to work outside the home a set number of hours per week?
*How much money are you comfortable with spending to start a business?
*How much money do you expect to make from your business?
*Do you enjoy working with people (in person, over the phone, online)?
*Do you enjoy sales?
*Do you prefer to work alone or with a group of people? _________________ Thanks, |

Franke1... you really should give credit to the author when you use an article, or part of an article written by someone else. _________________ Ingrid

franke1, you're all over this forum with posts like this one. I assume you have a low advertising budget. Why don't you do the professional thing and join some safelists that allow free ads? |

Safelists ?? I haven't use safelists more than year. Should give Squidoo (or myspace) a try.

I have been 'playing around' for about two weeks now and there is definitely great potential for some very serious FREE advertising.

I can't seem to figure out Squidoo. It confuses me for some reason and I just gave up trying to create a good page with it. _________________ 100% Free to Work at Home |

Hello everyone. After much browsing in the forum, I have finally worked up the courage to post a question. Does anyone here have any experience with The Profit Lance course
Any comments will be appreciated.

Hi there Lee and welcome to the forum!
I personally don't have any experience with this program. However, I did a little searching. I came up with some information about it here on the forum below. Seems it's proving to be beneficial to some people and also making some money from the referral program. The price of the course itself is a little steep though.
Just my opionion.

Hi Tammy,
Thank you so much for for your research and your link. I read all of the posts and found them to be very informative. Not much in the way of negatives found. You're right though -- the price is a little higher than the rest but if the product is what you're looking for, it's better than paying less and getting scammed. I'm on the verge of buying it. I have not bought any of these products, as yet. For months, I've just been doing research and I'm hoping it will pay off.
I'm so glad I found this wonderful forum -- best I've seen.
Thanks again, Lee |

| As long as you pick a company that you believe in. Don't just jump in, you must do your homework on the company. But it will pay off |

Hi again Tammy,
Just posted to you on the General forum. Well, since I last posted here, I've had second thoughts about Profit Lance and just wanted to let you know that I think you're right. It is expensive so I decided to do some more browsing in the forums before making a decision to purchase. I have found that there are many programs out there that are free. And, FREE works for me! After much searching, I found one that I really like and feel good about. Tammy, I'm so glad I listened to what you you had to say. Profit Lance is more expensive than most of it's ilk. It may be great but my new motto is "Don't Pay"!

To make money from home you need three things.
A high profit margin item that is in high demand. This usually means MLM is a waste of time.
You need a system that does 75% of presenting for you. NO Business is fully automated. Since this is Direct Sales people are looking for Leaders. You need to be one.
Lastly you need a compensation plan that is lucrative. If you cant see yourself earning a minimum of $10k a month than it is not worth your time. 2 up plans are going the way of the dinosaur. Perpetual Leverage plans are a lot more exciting.
And one last thing. You need some level of support. Join under someone who will mentor you to success and has an interest in your success. Someone who thinks outside the box. All the best to everyone in 2008!
Chris

First thing I would like to say, thinking outside of the box would not include narrowing down ONE way to make money from home. You do NOT need a product with a high profit margin. You can sell a dream, as long as it can become a reality.
I'm currently working from home. Weekly bonuses are ranging from $100 - $1000 per week amongst many of the people that are involved. There is also a monthly residual that increases as long as you are actively "working". It almost doesn't seem like work, it's fairly easy.
I know a lot of people have viewed this thread and were probably discouraged by your post Chris.. No offense, but you're making it sound a lot more difficult than it really is.
Most people who want to work from home, are probably setting more realistic goals for their potential income. Let's say, start with $500 goal your first month. Then for your second month, go for $1000 and so on.
Personally, I have several goals. I have my smaller attainable goals, to keep me motivated with my progress. Then I have my ultimate goals which of course are set much higher. When I reach my ultimate goal, I will probably slow down on the "work" and kind of coast my way to the next motivation.
The good thing is, I'm with a good company, that has a solid past and an incredibly solid future. If anyone here is interested in working from home, with a legitimate company, visit my website and watch the video.
You won't be making thousands of dollars overnight, but you will be coached and you will see results in a short period of time if you do as your coach recommends. Just keep in mind, start with smaller goals and work your way up... In 7 months, you can easily be bringing home $5000/month.
Goodluck to everyone! Don't give up on working from home, thousands of people are doing it... It's a movement! I'm in on it.. are you?
