|
|
You can have an environment favorable to your work from home by avoiding conflicts between your business and family activities. Business demands can interfere with your parental responsibilities and vice versa however, there are some steps you can take to combine both efficiently and satisfactorily.
You need to establish time and space boundaries between your business and your home. For instance, you should set aside a specific area in your home for business as well as a schedule for business matters.
Clearly outline your business and family needs as well as activities on a daily basis. Then, plan ahead and block out time for each so they don’t interfere with each other.
Also, determining whether you’re more productive during the morning or afternoon hours may help you set a more convenient schedule. Although when you have young children around it’s difficult to avoid interference of business tasks with family activities.
Gradually teach your children to respect your work at home, work space and work schedule. You can make them feel involved by giving them job titles and small duties such as drawing a business logo or helping you shop for supplies.
Be patient and with good planning and consistency you can have an appropriate and happy balance between your family and your home based business. _________________ I’m offering a FREE e-book “The Affiliate Masters Course”. With a 5 year old and 2 year old I know it can be very challenging to balance everything. I've tried making a schedule of when to do business and when to do housework, but some days my kids are more needy than others, lol and I don't get as much business work done as I would like. Those are the days I just let the housework slide a little and do business during my scheduled housework times. I never liked housework anyway, and if I don't work my business than I wouldn't have a house to clean. _________________ ~*Stacey*~

Yeah it's always a good idea to schedule it all out, but some days don't fit into a planner. For those days, I write them off as either "half days" or "off days", like a job would, and I move on to the next day like I had kept with the schedule. Because life happens. But, you can't let it interfere with your dream. _________________ Struggling with Network Marketing and MLM?

| whatever it is, it's better to be WAHM than never... Working at home is less complicated than working and servicing other people...of course, working at home doesn't mean that you will always have quality time for your family but a t least you can be a full-time parent to your kids, most especially you own your time, less stress 'coz there's no boss to pressure you (as some people experienced that). |

| I leave whatever have to be left at the office because my home and family should not get too affected by it. They're a separate entity and i enjoy me time and family time. |

| Time management and proper schedule can give your work and family a separate time and you can focus on the thing for that particular time. |

I agree. I think you need a schedule and if possible an area set up for you home business.
I do not have children but I still work outside the house as well and you need to be able to take one hat off and put the other on.
Not always easy though... Sarah |

| Yes, keeping thing in balance can give you a wide space and a time to "move" and you can freely do whatever you feel like doing for good. |

It is so good to set a schedule!! A great leader on our team suggested breaking your day up in catagories:
Team Time-House Time-Family-Work-Self.
I must admitt I haven't got it down pat yet but it is one of my 2010 goals. It is really important to remember why most of us work from home in the first place, our families!! So if your kiddos need you then be flexible and give them some extra lovin that's the perk of being your own boss, YOU are in control!!!
Happy 2010 everyone, God Bless!! _________________ ~Follow your dreams, don't let them follow you~

| Thanks for sharing this! I don't have any problems or conflict at home since I'm living alone and would just visit my family for a short period. We just make sure that every time spent is worth while of good memories. |

| Planning and scheduling and open communication is the key to any sort of business family conflicts that may arise out of thousands of different scenarios. Always having a back up plan and being aware of everyone in the family's schedules is always key. |

It is very difficult and important to maintain a balance between personal life and business life. _________________ flip flops |
