|
|
I summed up the following ideas for those venturing into work at home. These are based on my personal experience. If you have something to in mind that can be of help to others, just don't hesitate to add it here.
1. Sell products that create residual income like memberships or MLM programs.
2. Sell other people's products as an affiliate for them.
3. Provide a service.
4. Type at home or do data entry.
5. Do paid surveys.
6. Sell stuff on eBay. _________________ How to Instantly Program Your Life for Success!

Great ideas. I have tried a couple.
Right now, I do a combination of typing at home and providing a service. I work as a freelance web content writer. I only work part-time because my daughter is home with me (especially now since it is summer).
I have tried doing paid surveys at home, but didn’t really like the results. I don’t know if I was looking in the wrong places, but I mostly ended up with the “get a chance to win money,” instead of earn it. So, I kind of ditched that method of making money from home.
I did sell on eBay for a little while. It was my first attempt to work from home. I didn’t go all out. I just sold a few things here and there. I started with kids clothes and toys that my daughter outgrew and then want to yard sales to find a few good deals. I made a little bit of money an it was fun, but had better luck with freelance writing.
I haven’t tried memberships or MLM programs. Has anyone had luck with these? _________________ Download the Free Craigslist Reader to Search all of Craigslist at Once! |

I think I do all of these!
At the moment the thing that brings the most money is freelance writing - I get work through Elance - but I am working building residual income through mlms and affiliate marketing.
I'm also a professional genealogist and make some money searching other people's ancestry - which is really fascinating.

Hello, Preston:
I wrote a response to a very similar topic in another forum thread:
http://www.worldwideworkathome.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5538
Here is what I wrote there:
| Quote: | How about selling your stuff online?
- clothing
- books
- collectibles
- arts and crafts
- electronics
- jewelry
- magazines
- movies, music and games
- tools
- toys
- kids and baby items
- miscellaneous items not listed above
It used to be only big companies could do this for you. Then it was only online auction sites. Now, technology is making it easier for you to sell your old, unwanted stuff.
Not only that, you can help family, friends, whoever, sell THEIR stuff online!
I wrote a web biz blog post about this (July 4,09), if you want to click the blog link in my signature.

| If you like taking care of kids take on a couple kids during the day and watch them. Start a mini daycare. |

Great topic.
You will also want to create at some point your very own product and sell it through Clickbank. At the same time you will also want to get people who are already successful to sell this for you and earn commissions at the same time.

Good list. Some of the other suggestions (like creating your own product) can be very lucative, but I usually suggest people sell products as an affiliate first before they create their own. This way, they understand online marketing a bit better and can learn from their mistakes. It can pay off big, but it takes a lot of learning and a lot of hard work. That's just the reality of it, anyway. _________________ Free At Home Jobs - Real WAH Jobs with Real Companies
