Affiliate marketing scams abound because it is a profitable business. There are many bona fide programs through which you can earn money by advertising other people's products on your web site. However, some of them are scams which require you to either make a monthly or quarterly purchase or else earn a certain amount in affiliate income within a specified time period in order to get paid.
In addition to spotting and avoiding affiliate marketing scams, you should be aware of programs that are so saturated with members that it's impossible to make any money.

Making money with affiliate link does take time and you must have a lot of patience. Money doesn't roll in fast, so a lot of research and getting traffic to your affiliate is a good way to get yourself started on the right track.
