Hello everyone,

I have been having lots of success on my blog this month and I attribute it to a few things. I thought I would share them with you and hopefully they will give you some ideas.

1st I make sure my content is good. No one will care how good your site looks if there is no good content on it. I learned that the hard way when we started getting traffic but no-one stayed!

2nd I advertise through sites directly. There are a lot of sites that will let you advertise on them for $10 a month or less. It is a good way to get started and will bring in traffic.

3rd I haven't been afraid of change. I just check to see what is working through my analytics each day and whatever is working I do more of. This brings more people to my site and helps me to make my site better.

I hope these tips help. I have been doing well this month and I want everyone else to do well too!

Well I just keep working on free sources of traffic and making sure my content is good. If you aren't sure what type of website to do you can always go to google labs and see what is popular at the moment. I am kind of old fashioned so there may be better ways than sticking your nose to the grindstone but it has worked for me so far!

Google analytics is the bomb ! And free !

I actually use google analytics and statcounter.
These 2 websites give me different stats.
Anyone have experience on this??

I don't have any idea why they would be different but don't just focus on visit hits. Google gives you data on so much more. With Google you can see exactly how people arrived at your page, You can see if your traffic is organic or referrels,you can see country of origin (foreign speakers?), you can see what browser your traffic is using(somewhat indication of internet knowledge)you can see baud rates of visitors (handy in deciding graphics).
All these should be deciders on how your page looks and functions.
