These days we are experiencing more and more online jobs and businesses. At the same time, fraud companies are also mushrooming on the web. What are the best ways to know which are the legitimate ones?

You really need to check out the site first, I always put it into google and type scam beside it, this normally comes up with the answers!
Another way is to check out their PR (page rank)

Hi Melissa,

Initially, if any website charges before providing their service then check them on internet fraud checking websites like ww.scambusters[.]org and ww.ic3.gov. And ask them for authentication.
There are a lot of scammers out there. Even so, a large amount of online based work is available for skilled or unskilled persons. You should elaborate on your experiences. IMO, you should start a small business at home visit some entrepreneur based networks. After visiting, I’m sure you will get some online based work according to your skills or interests.

I suggest you to use trusted programs like the programs that are related to advertising on the web through google and other famous search engines.

Hi Melissa,

It is imperative that you do your due diligence and research whatever company you may be interested in. It is not enough to listen to the company or its distributors. Additionally, everyone's opportunity, or company is THE BEST, with the best products and the best compensation plan....remember this one thing; people don't join companies, they join people. So position yourself whether its offline or online so that people trust you and will want to do business with you. Hope this helps.

You need to check about every company you do business with and also as time goes by you learn to identify if its a scam or not.

Personally before joining a program I try to get some review about that program from search engines.I also ask other members in some forums about that program and then I take decision whether to join that program or not.

take time before koining....put keywords like your company name + scam in google and read the results...

Like some others have said - you've gotta do your research. And when I say that, I mean really dig for anything you can find. If you feel that anything seems sketchy in any way, don't go for it.

There are plenty of legitimate opportunities out there. You can start by checking through this forum, as there are tons of proven work at home companies you can work for.

I've joined Twitter for several months a lot of opportunities tweets... I've also tried Bux4Ad... it's hard to make money online! If it's easy, many people will join!
