I really like this recipe because there is no baking and it is a different kind of fun way to serve pumpkin with ice cream.

1 can of pumpkin (same as used for 1 pie)
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
2 teaspoon pumpkin spice (cinnamon, allspice, ginger)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup milk (whole, 2%, 1% depending on richness preferred)
6 16 ounce paper or plastic cups (varies per serving size)

Mix pumpkin with ice cream in blender until smooth and evenly mixed.
Stir in pumpkin spice and vanilla extract.
Mix in milk in blender or by hand, about 1 minute or color in evenly blended.

Pour into cups about 1 inch below lid. Serve immediately or freeze for later. If freezing for more then 2 or 3 days, cover and seal top of each cup to store for a couple of weeks.

This is SO good. I doubled the recipe up and made 3 very large shakes out of it, with a little to spare! I was bad and used regular ice cream and regular whipped cream, but followed everything else. I love that you can taste the real pumpkin coming through and not an artificial taste like you would probably get from a fast food place. Thanks for posting this!

I have not really tasted pumpkin shake however I'll try to make one and see how it taste. It's a healthy drink but I'm just worried if my palate favors it's taste.
