Just squeeze firmly on the fleshy spot of your hand thats between your thumb and first finger, and hold until the headache goes away.

I know it sounds strange, but it really does work!

I used to get headaches frequently in school every day and always around the same time. I would carry pain relievers of every brand with me but they didnt seem to work...I would even try taking them before I got a headache but to no avail. Then I read up on the healing power of garlic and started taking garlic supplements everyday & the headaches disappeared. Isnt that strange? Such is the power of garlic.

Most regular headaches are caused by either dehydration or malnourishment- so drink water and eat something when you feel it coming on. Vitamins help prevent these a lot. For headaches that are not in that category, the most common cause for migranes is stress. So, take a bath or play relaxing music for awhile if it's not too bad. If medication isn't working, and nothing else above is working... then exercise. I have found that sometimes, I just had a vast amount of stored energy from not being active enough in the day that somehow affected my head.

If you have recurring headaches or migranes that are very difficult to get rid of, please see a doctor. There are some really scary causes for headaches and migranes that can be best resolved when the problem is young. So, if you have had a headache for a week straight and nothing helps... go see a doctor. Wink

Many people who drink coffee or coke on a regular basis often get migraine headaches. The real reason is they missed their regular does of caffine and are going through withdrawal. A quick draft of a caffine drink will make the headache go away. Or, they can continue the withdrawal for 3 days, and they will be cured (until they start drinking caffine again.)

Dehydration is the most common cause of headaches. It is really important to drink at least 2 litres of water a day - water, not other beverages!

The second most common cause is headache pain pills. They get rid of the pain, but the cause of the headache is still there, hence the headache comes back, but worse Sad

My tips: Drink water, stop the medication, and relax Smile

I have also noticed that when I have had a pedicure and they massage my toes, my headache reduces dramatically. Especially with message of the center bottom area and the big toes. Of course you don't need the pedicure to do this, but it is nice if you can add that too.
