Description:
Small Phoenix-based Company is looking for a qualified candidate to assist with technical support for our suite of software products. Our Customer Support Specialist will:
• Answer support calls; analyze, diagnose and provide solutions to software problems or questions
• Research, document, prioritize and escalate issues as appropriate
• Provide excellent customer service, while assisting users with varying degrees of technical knowledge
• Acquire and maintain advanced product knowledge. Develop and post knowledge base articles based on issue resolution
• Additional duties may include: software installation, configuration, testing, training, account management
Immediate need is part time (approximately 20 hours) but may be expanded following introductory/training period. Hours are flexible; weekday morning hours are preferred. Hours during training period may vary. Location is flexible, telecommuting is possible; most of the work will be via phone and web conferencing software.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is persistent and dependable; someone who is capable of learning our product suite quickly from both a functional and technical perspective. We are looking for an individual who is highly self-motivated and can work effectively with minimal supervision; however, takes direction well when provided. This role requires strong communication and sharp problem resolution skills. Other qualifications include:
• High degree of personal integrity and professionalism with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• A general understanding of computer operations and Microsoft Operating Systems. This includes navigating the directory structure (determining if files reside on local disk vs network) and understanding basic application/database concepts so that tasks required to reproduce, troubleshoot and/or solve application errors can be accomplished quickly.
• Experience using tools such as Microsoft Office, E-mail, Internet Explorer
• Experience with GIS Based systems, FTP and remote communication software a plus.
• Experience in phone-based support preferred
• Experience in school district transportation a plus
