I know this is one of those types questions that is always tossed around but I'm curious how the rest of the online earners would answer this. Personally, I see as a very valuable tool and a resource to achieve greater things, and as a way to measure how well my work efforts are going, but not an end in itself.

No, money can't buy happiness. It can pay bills, keep a roof over your head, put food on the table, pay for luxuries etc. In my opinion, it's not the core of what makes a person happy.

For me, it's not the money in and of itself, but rather what it can afford -- peace of mind knowing that my bills are paid, the ability to engage in activities that I enjoy, resources to be able to spend time with people I care about. But for some, money may actually buy greater stress and insecurity. Depends a lot on how a person defines "happiness".

Money certainly cannot buy happiness ... but it might make some of the financial stress of everyday life go away ... allowing for more "happy" activities ... such as family time ... hobbies ... etc., etc.

I know that lack of it can cause unhappiness, so in a way, yes, it can buy happiness.

No definitely money does not buy happiness. Lots of people who are Millionaire's are not happy.

It is nice to have money though if you already have your happiness elsewhere.

money can not buy happiness. yes, it can make you happy 'cause you'll be able to buy things that you want or need and pay bills. but with all of these, for me, only a person can make me happy or give the happiness that i want. Things that i have right now won't mean anything without the person i love. happiness from money won't last. but of course, it will depend. money, for a dying loved one in order to save him or her. that's another story.

I believe that money cannot buy happiness. I agree with the person who said that it is at the core of the person. Until you deal with what is on the inside, any money you get will not remain.

Having money doesn't change you and it doesn't mean that you will be happy because you have it. Whatever you were before you had money that's what you will be. The only thing that changes is you now have money.
