Does someone have an idea to how many search engines we have to submit the website manually to get better traffic and seo benefit and of course google/yahoo enable to search the site regularly. And which are the best and major SE to submit the site and duration of re-submission time.
Anyone had trouble getting listed on search engines? Is posting your site on forums rapidly increases your site getting picked up by the major engines.
Thanks |

Hello:
Google and Yahoo! are definitely the top search engines and the important ones to focus on.
There is no set number of submissions that will guarantee the results you seek. As with most things, the MORE you submit, the better results you should get over time.
With Google and Yahoo!, if you are focusing on proper SEO (Search Engine Optimization) you will NOT have to submit your site. If you SEO your site effectively, the search engines will automatically index your site. The better your SEO, the more quickly you will be indexed.
Not all forums are equal and not all forum posting will help your site in the search engines.
One reason for posting in forums is to include your website URL in your forum signature. In some forums, this creates a backlink - that is, a link pointing back to your website. The more backlinks you have, the better the search engines "like" you.
However, there are two things to consider about backlinks. First, some forums are closed forums and do not create backlinks. Second, not every backlink created on the Internet is a good backlink. To get quality backlinks that the search engines like, you should post your link on sites (and in forums) that closely relate to your business theme or niche. For example, if you have a work at home business opportunities site and you get your link posted on the web page of a school, chances are the search engine will not give that link much value.
Just a few things to think about regarding search engines, backlinks and Internet Marketing.

| To see if you are listed just put your web adress in the bar, if it takes you to your site then you are listed, it's just a matter of moving up the list. That takes time, I have had sites that were #2 in organic results within 3 days of publishing, then fell off the face of the planet. Be patient, search engines are funny creatures. |
